1954 Triumph Speedtwin – £7500.00
A nice bright, clean ridable bike!
This Speedtwin is the last year of the rigid sprung hub models, before all Triumph’s went on to the swinging arm frame.
We at Ace Classics have always had a soft spot for the Rigid Triumph’s, we love the early styling and with a low centre of gravity they handle great! This particular bike starts up easy and rides well!
Featuring desirable matching engine and frame numbers.
It was restored many years ago and fitted with lots of nice original parts, including a genuine Lucas amp meter, which these days are hens teeth!
Also fitted with the dual seat for comfort and the correct 276 carb.
Overall this bike is very clean and has been well loved, but it is beginning to show signs of its age in places. There are a few minor marks on the paintwork here and there and the petrol tank has suffered from the modern fuel of today, showing a few bubbles which can be seen in the pictures. The wheel rims are also slightly pitted.
None of these are really an issue but we always like to sell an honest bike.
Prior to sale, we will line the tank with Flowliner Tank Sealer to help prevent the paintwork on the tank from bubbling any further.
These superficial marks have no effect on how reliable this bike is and how much fun it is to ride!
We are selling on behalf of a customer.
